Dear Democrat,
Crime has taken enough from our communities.
Too many families have lost loved ones. Too many women and children live in fear. Too many victims report crimes, only to watch cases collapse before justice is served.
South Africans are tired of living in fear while criminals act without fear.
The DA is fighting to change that.
After sustained DA oversight and pressure, 6,000 DNA kits have arrived in the Western Cape.
These kits are vital. Without them, SAPS cannot take DNA samples from suspects in the critical hours after a crime. Evidence can be lost. Cases can collapse. Victims can be failed again.
That is why pressure matters. And that is why the DA will keep fighting to make sure SAPS has the resources needed to catch criminals and secure convictions.
But South Africa needs more than exposed failures. We need a plan to restore law and order.
Catch. Convict. Clean up.

This Friday, DA Leader Geordin Hill-Lewis will join Democrats from across the country in Nelson Mandela Bay to march against crime.
We will march for victims, for families, and for every South African who refuses to accept crime as normal.
