 The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a self-motivated and goal driven individual at their Gauteng offices. The successful candidate will report directly to the Provincial Facilities Management Officer with indirect reporting to the Provincial Support Services Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that the office is at all times clean and neat and to carry out any messenger duties as and when required;
  • Providing facilities assistance to the Provincial and Regional Offices;
  •  Providing logistical assistance to the Provincial and Regional Offices.

The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a selfmotivated and goal driven individual at their Federal Head Office in Cape Town. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director: Development, Learning & Training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Spearheading the development and training initiatives of the Democratic Alliance’s Public Representatives and ensuring the development and execution of cutting-edge interventions that serve the needs of the Party’s public representatives.
  • Designing, managing, coordinating and facilitating development programmes required to meet the development needs of public representatives.
  • Managing projects and allocated staff members to ensure completion of projects. This can include their work flow, meeting deadlines and performance management.
  • Collaborating with various departments, experts and stakeholders to ensure the strategic and relevant development of interventions and materials.
  • Research and the development of content/materials for public representative training and development

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

  •  Firm understanding and knowledge of the South African political environment and structures
  •  Prior experience within the DA is advantageous
  •  A minimum of 4 years work experience
  •  Experience in designing development initiatives/programmes
  •  Facilitation skills
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  •  Highly proficient computer skills to include MS Office Suite
  •  Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise, and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to manage consultants and staff members

  • Ability to quality control materials to ensure set standards are met

Development, Learning and Training Online Learning Manager (Instructional Design)- Cape Town

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Championing the DA’s online learning platform and its online learning strategy.
  • Being the driving force behind the development of cutting-edge, engaging online programmes, courses and materials that serve the needs of the department and the Party’s public representatives, staff and volunteers.
  • Ensuring that all of its online development programmes are aligned with the strategic objectives of the Democratic Alliance.
  • Heading up the development of new and bespoke online development, learning and training programmes to meet the vast and diverse needs of an ever-growing organisation.
  • Updating, categorising and digitizing existing material and content.
  • Working with the content creators, consultants and subject matter experts to develop all components required to produce excellent online learning programmes.
  • Editing, revising, or enhancing content and graphics using instructional design software.

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Firm understanding and knowledge of the South African political environment
  • Degree and/or minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in education, educational technology, instructional design/media or a related field
  • Experience in designing course content and relevant assessments
  • Highly proficient computer skills to include MS Office Suite and learning management systems
  • Experience in the OpenEdX platform is highly advantageous
  • Experience with JavaScript advantageous
  • Demonstrated expertise in using authoring tools to create adaptive learning content
  • Experience using and/or supporting a variety of animation and multimedia development tools
  • Ability to provide instructional, curriculum, and technical design information and guidance to subject matter experts
  • Excellent organisational skills

Provincial Campaign Operations Manager- Eastern Cape

The Democratic Alliance seeks a confident, energetic and strategic individual at their Provincial Head Office in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be a key member of the DA’s Provincial Team and will report directly to the Provincial Campaigns Director with an indirect reporting line to the Provincial Leader.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Establishing and sustaining political activity designed to create a permanent presence in the identified communities across the province.

Prospective applicants should be able to:

  • Provide effective management to all structures within relevant communities
  • Establish and maintain campaign structures
  • Plan and implement a programme of ongoing voter interaction and persuasion
  • Recruit, train and manage staff
  • Ensure clear internal communication
  • Work in a diverse political environment in order to achieve the party’s strategic objectives
  • Mentor structures to drive a culture of excellent performance and accountability
