Statutory Obligations Administration Officer – KwaZulu Natal

The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance.The Democratic Alliance seeks a confident, energetic and strategic individual in KwaZulu Natal. The successful candidate will be a key member of the DA’s Provincial Operational Team and will report directly to the Provincial Support Services Manager with an indirect reporting line to the Provincial Managing Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the effective execution of all statutory obligations as prescribed in the Federal
    and Provincial Constitution as well as related policies, procedures and regulations

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the DA
  • The preferred candidate must be completely outcomes orientated and not simply task
    orientated
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in more than one language
  • An ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule
  • Willing to work long and irregular hours
  • Applicants MUST be in possession of a valid driver’s license and have access to
    an insured vehicle for daily use

Development, Learning and Training Coordinator- Cape Town

The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a
self-motivated and goal driven individual at their Federal Head Office in Cape Town. The
successful candidate will report directly to the Director: Development, Learning & Training.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing, managing, administrating and coordinating training & development programmes required to meet the development needs of public representatives, staff members and activists of the DA;
  • Writing curricula for the DA’s training and development programmes;
  • Facilitation of development and training initiatives;
  • Establishing and managing an e-learning platform for the Democratic Alliance, as well as creating online learning content;
  • Work with the Development, Learning and Training team to actively and continuously develop a culture of learning and development in the Democratic Alliance,
  • Ensuring that all development programmes are aligned with the strategic objectives of the Democratic Alliance.

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Commitment to the principles, values, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
  • Proficiency in English
  • Proficiency in more than one other South African language advantageous
  •  Ability to illustrate experience in facilitation, training and people development
  • A passion to work with people and a clear understanding of the concepts and principles of training, learning and development
  • Programme design and scripting experience of training & development programmes advantageous
  •  Knowledge and experience of online learning platform management and course development advantageous
  • Specialist experience in facilitation and strategic planning methodologies advantageous
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Self-motivated and dynamic
  • Ability to work as part of a small team, and on multiple projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Prepared to work long and irregular hours
  • Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail
  • Self-starting and innovative
  • Advanced computer literacy skills
  • Outcomes-orientated
