Senior Officer: Statutory Obligations- Johannesburg

The above position now exists within the Democratic Alliance. The DA is looking to recruit a self-motivated and goal driven individual at their Campaign Head Quarters in Bruma, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will report directly to the Coordinator: Statutory
Obligations with an indirect reporting line to the Executive Director: Corporate Services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing support and assist with the coordination of ongoing training programs for members and structures in relation to statutory obligations;
  • Effectively assist and provide support to structures with the implementation of Statutory Obligations of the Party;
  • Becoming an expert in policies and procedures, constitutional requirements and related statutory obligations;
  • Ensuring that statutory obligations documents are current and accessible across the Party;
  • Monitoring and measuring the effective utilization and implementation of statutory obligations and the compliance there-of across the Party in conjunction with the Coordinator;
  • Providing support to the Unit in ensuring that all statutory obligations are met in an appropriate and timely manner and are applied fairly and impartially;
  • Supporting and assisting with day-to-day operational delivery of the DA’s statutory obligations and compliance function;
  • Enhancing support and promoting team work.

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Computer literacy essential
  • Previous administrative experience essential
  • Excellent writing, oral and interpersonal skills and proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
  • Proficiency in more than one language advantageous
  • Self-motivated and dynamic
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Prepared to work long and irregular hours
  • Systematic, comprehensive and displaying excellent attention to detail

  • Designing, administering and coordinating ongoing administrative processes for members and volunteers;
  • Assisting the Manager: Membership and Statutory Obligations in the process of their membership and statutory obligations administration and processes;
  • Assisting in all means possible to achieve departmental objectives.

Administrator: General Admin and Membership- Gauteng South

The Democratic Alliance seeks a confident, energetic and strategic individual in Gauteng South. The successful candidate will be a key member of the DA’s Provincial Team and will report directly to the Regional Support Services Coordinator with an indirect reporting line to the Provincial Support Services Manager and Provincial Managing Director.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing effective and efficient administrative assistance to the Regional Support Services Coordinator in the Regional office, and in particular to administer all functions related to membership.

Prospective applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • A commitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the DA
  • A detailed understanding of the DA’s vision of an Open, Opportunity Society for All
  • The preferred candidate must be completely outcomes orientated and not simply task orientated
